now we most likely have all been to the nice forums. The forums that have post counts, avatars, signatures, and a more organized sub category way of posting. Nothing against the guys/gals who work on this, but why is this forum in such a way as it is. Its very unorganized and a better forum would be a better place for this group of people

My team has been working on this for the past few weeks but we've hit a few snags:

1) We don't work here. Thought that wouldn't matter.

2) We've never made a "forum" technically. We have however
"surfed" the internet so we know what looks good.

3) These people are "busy" archiving stuff. What does that
have to do with us having our little conversations?
I mean really, let's get our priorities straight.

So you see, if you give us a few more weeks my team and I might be able to get this forum to where it needs to be.

there should be an archinving team and a forum team. Not to sound needy or greedy, but a simple knowledge of the web and CPU's can setup a forum far advanced then this one. Best of all, for free

Yeah, i tried bringing this up a while ago. I think the fact will remain that the majority of the users (the veterans) want to keep it this way. I know I'm becoming accustomed to it..

no way to change anything "here" anyways. "we" are a miniscule part of the Archive (or so I've been told by the mods here) - this is primarily an archive and research site - the wayback machine is used more than the LMA portion (just what ive been told).

i don't know - personally i'm quite happy with what we have here. not that i am dissing any suggestions. i just kinda like the whole look and feel - it's my little internet home away from home so to speak where i go to talk to good people.

I'm with you Dire. I like things the way they are - it's not too hard to play catch-up when you guys have gone to bed and its morning for me. It's like my daily paper - first thing I read each day! Personally speaking the little smiley things and whatever else that people use to dress up their messages elsewhere just irritate the bejasus out of me.
